Why MEO Kalorama is Great for Solo Attendees
MEO Kalorama has established itself as Lisbon's definitive end-of-summer festival in just five years. Parque da Bela Vista is a large, open park in northern Lisbon that creates a relaxed, festival atmosphere where strangers mix naturally. The diverse lineup — crossing alternative rock, hip-hop, indie and pop — attracts a mixed-age, international crowd who are there for the music.
Being in Lisbon is the biggest advantage for solo attendees. You can stay in a social hostel in the city centre, attend the festival each day, and return to Lisbon's nightlife and restaurants each evening. The city's social infrastructure makes it easy to meet people both inside and outside the festival.
Getting to MEO Kalorama
- Metro — Yellow line to Entre Campos, then a short walk to Parque da Bela Vista. The easiest and cheapest option
- Bolt / Uber — From central Lisbon, around €8–12
- Bus — Several routes serve Bela Vista from central Lisbon

The Hardwell Return: Why RFM Somnii 2026 is Special
Hardwell's return to performing after a 10-year break is one of the most anticipated events in electronic music in 2026. His headline slot at RFM Somnii is a historic moment for EDM fans, and the beach setting at Praia do Relógio — on the Atlantic coast north of Figueira da Foz — makes it one of the most visually spectacular festival settings in Portugal.
The RFM Somnii crowd is young, energetic, and highly social. It draws heavily from Portugal's student population and young European travellers. As a solo attendee, you'll be in exactly the right environment — the beach atmosphere at night, with electronic music and a crowd built for movement and connection, is one of the most naturally social settings of any festival format.
Getting to Figueira da Foz for RFM Somnii
- Train from Coimbra — Around 1 hour. Coimbra is 2.5 hours from Lisbon and 1.5 hours from Porto by train. The most comfortable overland route
- Bus from Lisbon — Rede Expressos operates services to Figueira da Foz, approximately 2.5 hours
